Facilities Rental
The HVOC training field is available for rent for any other dog groups. Currently Monday through Friday evening use is not available. However, hourly use during the day and occasional weekend rentals are possible when they don't conflict with previously scheduled events.
The largest open square section of the field is about 170 ft by 150 ft. The longest length is about 270 ft. See field map for specifics.
Cost:
Weekend or hourly use is $10 per hour for small groups (less than 50) and $15 per hour for larger groups (greater than 50 dogs). A two hour minimum is required. Evening use would entail an additional $5 per hour for use of lights.
Agility trials are $500 for a two day weekend or $250 per day. Friday set-up will be an additional $50.
Payment is required in advance. Weekend rentals would require receipt of 50% of the total no later than 30 days prior to the event. The remaining balance must be received no later than 2 weeks before the event. Cancellations more than 2 weeks prior to the event will be assessed a $10 handling fee. Cancellations up to 24 hours prior will be assessed a 25% handling fee. Less than 24 hours cancellations would receive no refund.The exception would be last minute cancellations due to rain (80% or ½ inch). You will receive a refund minus 25% handling fee. Notify coordinator to request refund.
Requirements:
Any group renting the grounds will sign either a formal lease agreement for regular users or a weekend permit for others, outlining their responsibilities regarding cleaning up trash, dog excrement, balls etc. as well as returning equipment to designated areas, no smoking or consumption of alcohol on the grounds, and no vehicles driven on the grounds. Any damage to turf, fence or sprinklers will be repaired by the group or they will be required to pay to have the damage repaired. Any food on the grounds must be monitored so no residuals are left on the grounds and no shelled nuts are permitted at any time. For any groups renting for more than a few hours, a liability insurance certificate listing HVOC as an additional insured under the policy must be provided. The limits being not less than $1,000,000 per occurrence.
If the grounds are exceptionally wet, posing a safety hazard to the dogs, peat moss may be used near appropriate jumps as long as the bulk of it is raked up at the end. No mulch can be used that could damage the grass.
